A senior full-stack developer with a designer's eye

I'm a Senior Full Stack Developer who builds web platforms end to end. For around five years I've shipped travel-booking platforms for tour operators and agencies across the Netherlands, Switzerland and Germany, owning everything from the Node.js back-end to the front-end UI. I'm grounded in core JavaScript and engineering fundamentals and fluent with frameworks and CMS (Vue, ApostropheCMS), reaching for the right tool for each job. Lately that includes AI-augmented development: I built and published a Claude AI + MCP code generator for ApostropheCMS. My background in Automation & Applied Informatics is the engineering discipline I bring to every build.

Today I'm the sole developer of the Victoury platform: a marketing CMS and a travel-booking minisite with a large library of custom widgets, built with an AI-augmented workflow. Before that I was a core developer on diving and safari sites like Diving World, building booking-engine features (pricing, cabins, flights and excursions), search, multi-step forms and reusable widget libraries.

I care about the fundamentals users feel but never see: accessibility (WCAG, automated Pa11y checks), performance, SEO and structured data, GDPR-compliant forms, and code other developers can maintain with confidence.

Around five years building and shipping travel-booking platforms for tour operators and agencies, owning both the back-end and the front-end. I've grown from contributing on client sites, to core developer of a multi-year booking platform, to sole developer of the current Victoury platform.

  • Heavy vanilla JavaScript: complex features built from primitives, with hands-on DOM manipulation and custom interactive components.
  • Full-stack JS: Node.js back-end logic and data work alongside the front-end interactions and UI.
  • Built booking-engine features (pricing, cabins, flights, excursions), search, multi-step forms and reusable widget libraries.

Challenge One tour-operator platform had to drive both marketing and bookings, and stay maintainable by a single developer.

What I built An ApostropheCMS 4.31 platform in two flavours: a marketing CMS, and a minisite for travel & bookings with product catalogues and search. A library of 33 custom widgets, including a cinematic scroll-driven set, powers both. Delivered with an AI-augmented workflow (Claude AI) alongside hand-written, production-grade code.

Challenge A dive-travel specialist needed a booking engine that could price genuinely complex trips: cabins, with/without-flight options, excursions and liveaboards.

What I built As a core developer across ~3 years and 800+ commits (ApostropheCMS, Docker, MongoDB), I built custom widgets and worked across the booking engine: form validation and API integration for pricing, cabins, with/without-flight options, excursions and liveaboards.

Challenge Launch a Swiss diving-travel brand on the proven Diving World platform without rebuilding from scratch.

What I built A Swiss travel agency for diving & snorkeling holidays on the same ApostropheCMS platform: a destination catalogue across 9 regions, curated trip collections, advisor profiles and rich search filters in a clean, underwater-themed UI.

Challenge A German safari operator needed a tailored design plus GDPR-compliant, ClientSpace-integrated booking forms.

What I built Much of the front-end design on ApostropheCMS, adapted to the client's requirements, plus ClientSpace-integrated German forms: a post-travel survey and a two-page quote-confirmation flow, with URL management and product pages.

Shipping with AI & MCP

Real, published AI tooling, not buzzwords: built on Claude AI and the Model Context Protocol.

Apostrophe Code Generator is an AI-powered module generator I built and published for ApostropheCMS. It uses Claude AI and an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server to generate production-ready pieces, pages, widgets and bundles (schemas, Nunjucks templates, design-token extraction and BEM SCSS) from a web wizard or directly inside Claude Code.

It's live on the official ApostropheCMS extensions marketplace, installable from npm, and indexed by MCP directories including LobeHub and mcpmarket. I bring the same AI-augmented workflow into client delivery, including the Victoury platform, pairing it with hand-written, production-grade code.
